Could he BE any cuter?

Just thought I would post some pics of things going on in the last few days.

Things are going well so far.

Kian sleeps well, he eats well, he poops very well and likes to pee on mommy (and he's not even circumcised yet!).

Kian's first bath at home

("Okay...this isn't so bad")

("Not bad at all")

Just chillen'

Sleeping peacefully (despite being constantly "loved" by his brothers)

The primary "love" giving culprit

Really...things are good. I feel pretty good. The kids are adjusting well. Of course, Grandma H is still here. She is such a HUGE help.

I guess we will find out what REAL life is like in another 10 days (or so) when she leaves.

Sigh!

He's finally here! (Seriously...no jokes this time)

He's finally here...and he FINALLY has a name!

KIAN SCOTT GILLESPIE
Born: April 3, 2010 (Happy 41st Anniversary Mom and Dad)
Time: 4:46 AM
Weight: 7lbs 7oz (our smallest yet)
Length: 19 1/2 inches

Things started out very slowly at first (I had hours and hours of contractions (15+) without going into active labor for a week leading up to the big night). Once active labor started (at 5 cm) things went fast and our little dude slipped (I use this word very lightly) quietly into the world. He was posterior in position which means he came came out looking up at my doctor, nurse and Rob. (Rob says it's a pretty bizarre sight watching little eyes peer out at you before the babies even out).

I will post more details on our baby blog later. For now, enjoy a few pics.

Just Me and My Boys

"Hello World"
(check out the poor purple head our posterior baby)

Poor Bruised Posterior Head

Proud Papa

Grandma Harding and Kian
(thanks Mom! She has been here a week already and has been the biggest help ever. We SO appreciate her putting aside everything to be here with us!)

Isaac and Kian

Cael and Kian

"No...how dare you strap me in!"

Ready for the short ride home
(Cael came with Daddy to get us from the hospital)

I'm going to try and add a video of Gabe holding him at home (he didn't want to hold him at the hospital). It could take a while. Check back soon!

Semi-crisis semi adverted

So it turns out things were not as bad as they seemed. Small--super fast--all is well...for now!

Had a doctors appointment today...check out baby blog for details.

The cruel, cruel irony...

(Warning: Writer may have shared a bit too much information in the following blurb. Proceed with caution)

So how is it that we have managed to steer clear of "the vomits" for a year....that's right, A YEAR, and have a child now, of all times, wake up sick in the wee hours of the morning?

It seems so ironic.

Here I was all anxious to get this baby out and now...I'm not so ready. I have already prayed that this plague will blow through our family quickly and that, if at all possible, I will be spared. Maybe the Lord knew what he was doing with all this false labor not becoming the real thing. I know that He knows what a mess I would be bringing my baby home to "vomitville."

Last pregnancy I had 4 days of "the lower plague" that ended just 2 days before Isaac was born. On the plus side I lost 3 lbs but it was a horrible few days.

Please pray for me that I might be spared and that it will all be over soon.
